Come Join us at the Amputee Coalition of America Conference

Come and be a part of the New Upper Extremity Track at the 2008 Amputee Coalition of America Annual Conference, June 19-22, Atlanta Georgia.

The UNOC and ACA have partnered to offer eight educational sessions dedicated to people living with upper extremity limb loss or difference. Full conference registration also gives attendees the opportunity to participate in many general education sessions as well as the 2008 Exposition and special events.

For ALL of the Occupational & Physical Therapists we've added a section just for you! This new section is on the Tips & Tricks page and features tips on the care and treatment of upper extremity amputees from other OT/PT's. UpperEx.Com is dedicated solely to upper extremity amputees. The mission of this publication and web site is to provide information and resources relevant to all UE amputees, whether new or experienced, youth or adult, and to expand our network globally to include those from around the world.

UpperEx.Com is a FREE magazine!

Anyone can download the issue at their convenience. The magazine is not only for upper extremity amputees, but for their family & friends, doctors, therapists, prosthetists, engineers, instructors, manufacturers and anyone else that has contact with, or is a service provider for, upper extremity amputees.

Do you know someone who would benefit from reading UpperEx.com and that has a computer but doesn't have Internet access?

Submit an Article

UpperEx.Com is always looking for people to submit articles for future issues of the magazine. Anyone is eligible to write from Amputees, Family Members, Friends, Prosthetists, Therapists, Doctors.

You can also request a topic for an article and we'll do our best to fulfill that request. We want to know what YOU, the reader, want to see in future issues of UpperEx.Com.

Start a UE Chapter

Do you have an upper extremity outreach group in your area? Would you like to start one? In an effort to expand our services, UpperEx.Com is offering to help you start an upper extremity outreach group in your area. You provide the meeting place, we'll provide the name! We will help you organize and market your group, provide you with a guide of resources in your area to help you succeed and offer on-going support and assistance.

Why start a chapter?

Here at UpperEx.Com we feel that communication is vital. It breeds discussion, the exchange of knowledge & ideas, and most of all a sense of community. We believe that community is essential to upper extremity amputees. Whether healing, helping, or just hanging out and participating in an event, being among other arm amputees is a positive and beneficial resource. And since there aren't a huge number of arm amputees, it's even more important to provide a familiar and friendly atmosphere.

Starting a chapter also gets you more involved in your own community and helping other arm amputees right in your city, or town. At UpperEx.Com we want to bring arm amputees together to form a global community. But that community has to start right in your backyard!!
